Photo Attachment Shows up too large

For some reason when I use the multi-file attach option, if I attach a jpg, it shows up on the add screen, yet other jpg attachments do not. I do not want the file to display, I only want the icon to show and if the user wants to view the file, they should click or download it. It upsets the visual balance of the screen.
See screenshot. The jet picture displays, but Koala.jpg does not. I think it has something to do with the image dimensions. Koala.jpg is a large file (from the Windows 7 sample image folder) and the Boeing 777 pic is smaller in dimension.
Any way to suppress this image preview and just show the icon?
