I wanted to be able to query a SQL database/view from the http line. I know that I can search on any field and have it appear in the http string but I want to do several fields at a time (example of individual string below)
page 1

http://localhost/tree/menutree_list.asp?Ta...geSizeSelect=20
page2

http://localhost/tree/menutree_list.asp?Ta...geSizeSelect=20
I'm trying to hard code this from within the SQL view but need to know the correct format.
thanks

Correction - the string link should be as follows
page 1
menutree_list.asp?TargetPageNumber=1&action=Search&lang=&orderby=&dir=&PageSize=20&masterkey=&SearchField=dept_web&SearchOption=Contains&SearchFor=00341b-0ssvzj1wh20kirdg+&PageSizeSelect=20
page 2

menutree_list.asp?TargetPageNumber=1&action=Search&lang=&orderby=&dir=&PageSize=20&masterkey=&SearchField=AnyField&SearchOption=Equals&SearchFor=0002+%3A+Williams+House+&PageSizeSelect=20

You can make a change on advanced search page to see generated URL.
To dipslay parameters open ..._search.asp in text editor and change FORM tag to use GET instead of POST. Do required search and copy URL. Change form back to POST. Use this URL to setup direct link to advanced search results.

Thanks - I did what you suggested and it looks correct but have question for you.
The below string is what is created when using the GET option but I noticed that there is a &NeedQotes listed in the string. Should this be there or is it missing something.
menutree_list.asp?masterkey=&action=AdvancedSearch&FieldName=Building&NeedQuotesdeptweb=&SearchOption=Contains&dept_web=00000b-099g4wwuzirq8bpl&dept_web_999=
