My hard drive crashed and my phprunner projects are not recoverable. I do have the content of the output folder on my sever obviously since the sites are live. Is there a way to reverse engineer so that I don't have to start my projects from scratch again?

If you're at the point that you have to start over, then try searching google for "recover from hard drive crash".

There are a lot of suggestions and/or programs. I've never tried any but you never know. Good luck.

On that note... The hard drive has been reformatted and most of the files were backed up and put back on the hard drive. The problem is that the back up program did not back up any non-standard file types. We did not realize this until it was too late. So can anyone recommend a software that can do in really deep and try to find our .phpr files?

At some point in the past I had success recovering deleted files using RecoverMyFiles software:

Sergey,
I have downloaded and purchased the recovermyfiles.com program & was able to recover the backup files that are located tmp/backup folder. the RecoverMyFiles program does not currently recognize .phpr files, however they do say the following in their help system.
'Adding a File Type to Recover My Files
Adding a Lost File file type to Recover My Files requires a full understanding of the file structure. Some file structures are publicly documented, most are not. Depending on the file type, it can be a complex and time consuming task.
To request a file type to be added, contact technical support and provide as much information about the file type as possible, including the author web site and the version number of the program used to create the files (if applicable). Also send 3 sample files from your system. GetData will then advise if it is possible to add the file type and how long it will take.
Technical support is available by contacting us via the support link at www.recovermyfiles.com.';
It would be nice if you contacted them and had them add .phpr file type to their program, it would make things a lot better for those of us that mess up and delete such an important file.
Also, you might add the temp/backup folder to the output folder so that it gets uploaded to the server with the other files.. this way there is going to be backups on the server if you lose the files on your development machine.
Boy... This was a close call.
Thanks!

Chris,
just wanted to add that .phpr files are in fact XML files. Probably XML files already supported by RecoverMyFiles.
