Timepicker problem

I am using the Timepicker in 12H mode. Everything works as expected, except that whenever I select 'AM', it returns 'PM'. In other words, regardless of whether I select 'AM' or 'PM', it is 'PM' that is returned. Using the 24H mode is not an option for me. Can anyone help?
