AspRunner problems saving records in IE7 or 8

Even a simple AspRunner project created using a microsft acces db with a single table has problems saving data in Internet Explorer 7 and 8.

Internet explorer 9, Opera, chrome and others work ok.
On clicking save when editing a record in IE7 and IE8 you are sent back to the record list display without 'record saved' confirmation and without any changes being made to the record.

Using IE9 on same record/database works 100% !!!!!!!!!!
