Redirect to another screen

I have a member table and a board_member table. The field board_member in member table is a Yes or No value. When I add a new member with board_member=Yes I want to redirect to the board_member_add.php. I have coded this in PHPRunner from the Event screen choosing "After record added" for the member add page.
When I save the new member the board_member_add screen is displayed and I can enter field data. However, the date calendar popup does not work, nor do the "Save" and "Back to List" buttons. The new member is added to the member table but nothing happens to the board_member table.
Why does the board_member_add screen not work?
