I am having problems with this one. Cant figure it out. Followed all the helps in the forums and can not get this one to work. I can see the list.asp and the edit.asp but can not update (Operation must use an updateable query) I can update the native access table just fine. The file structure is okay and access table does not have any permission and is not read only. Is it possible the permissions set for the web folder?

Hi,
Error message Operation must use an updateable query usually means IIS user don't have write permissions on this file. If you test this on your local box - right click on this database file in Windows Explorer and set full permissions for IUSR_... user.
If you run it on the shared Web server - they should have a special directory where you should place this database.

Jerry,
there is nothing wrong with your files. This is all about permissions.
Do you test it on your local box or on your Web server?

Give me more info on this matter and we'll get it resolved.
