I think there are some issues that have to be fixed before roll out.
BUT: In my opinion it would be nice not only to announce a launch. Also if there are some delays it would be nice to inform us. I do not expect a detailed statement why, but still a hint what's going on...

after test the phprunner 6... all i can say is AMAZING! this is great! i cant wait for buy the final verson

I was testing phprunner 6. There is one quick observation. I did not find "Theme" option button. Instead, I found "Style" option. But it is not showing pre-defined themes like Amsterdam, London etc as it used to show in version 5.3. Am I missing something?

I've finally given PHPR 6.0 preview a try. Exciting stuff, but I have some observations and questions.

I have to assess whether its desirable or even viable to convert a moderately large PHPR 5.x project (~80 tables, custom events on every table, with virtually every form customized to some extent) over to PHPR 6, and been asked to budget for this now. What's the best forum to explore the options?

I've been watching the new beta version of PHPRunner 6 and looks spectacular. The new features will help us win a lot of time in the creation of graphic interfaces.
I take this occasion to make a couple of questions:

1. The original idea to create different types of blocks below the header (left, main-center-and right) simultaneously, is still valid?
   
   For example,
   
   -On the left a block of vertical menus
   
   -Al center (mail) the list of records found
   
   -To the right a block with different content selection links presented in a 'vertical' or simplemante containing "free" from any selection within the database.
   
2. There is a possibility of creating some of the menus horizontally in the header and part upright in one of two blocks of the column left or right?
   
3. It will be possible to install and include in the original project other families of fonts that are not the standards of the system?
   
4. It will be possible to use the rich text editor "TinyMCE" as a possible alternative richtext editor?

By the time we get to Beta release of PHPR6.0 and through a few bug fix updates, are we realistically looking at Dec 2011 for a stable version?

I have been playing with the new phprunner 6.0
So far everything looks great, but I want to report that when uploading there is one thing that will need fixed. Themes when uploading try to upload as files instead of directories. I worked around this for the moment by uploading them manually. Just wanted you to know so you can fix it before the final release.

Sergey, think, it is time now to unlock the locked issue, say, either to hire Christian Gile as off $15/h or to think profit sharing on v6.0 final.

What about gantt charts? Is it now included? Many users here have opted for a gantt chart component? I hope this will be available in V6.0.

WOW great!
Testing the style editor. Zaanse Schans is a selection in the style editor, but you can not select it. Is this suppose to be this way?

Any solution to this?

I tried opening an old test project and the pages' styles are all ruined. How does open an "old" 5.3 project and have look as it did originally? Without that all old projects from everyone would become useless.

I just got done looking at the css and brick files and such. I can see that I will have to keep my older version of phprunner for my special custom sites I have. I don't think I can rebuild them to work with out a major overhaul. But I like the new features of version 6. It just be nice if it allowed you to pick either old format or new format. I really have altered many of the files and I can just copy and paste and rename them and then pull them up in the old version. The newer one doesn't seem like that is a big option, since so much is automated. So big benefit for keeping the old version. But I can see newer sites I work on using the new version.

UPDATE: SWEET - I just found a layouts.xml file that allows you to define a project layout name and choose page files! This is totally awesome. This is way more customizing than I thought it would be!!! So you can create your own .ly files and assign to a layout name you come up with and you are in the customize business. I think I really really am going to like this new version!!! Thank you very much!

Well I thought it worked that way. I tested by adding a project layout in the layouts.xml file and it does not show my addition in the software when I go to the style editor. So maybe this is not what it does??? hummm I hope it does and this is just a glitch being worked out.

I love that you can click a box (brick) of info and can move it to a new space in the visual editor! Kudos!

QUESTION: Style Editor:
I selected containers and I clicked on the menu box. I choose: Background, Plain, Pattern. No Pattern choices. How do you get pattern choices here? Is this something we can load up in a directory for it to find?

How to Change Style / Theme? I am not able to do anything after I open "Style". It only shows the default theme and there is no option available to make changes. In ver 5.3, we were able to choose different layouts and colors like Amsterdam, London, Rome etc Is the same not allowed in Ver 6.0?
Or I am missing something?

Question about new version...
In this article http://xlinesoft.com/blog/2010/12/22/new-features-in-phprunner60asprunnerpro70/ there is a mention of being able to import WordPress and Joomla themes (see quote from that page below)...

Does that planned feature still hold true? I wasn't able to find any import feature or any wordpress theme references in the structure files either?
It would be great if your guys could post an updated tutorial on how to customize layout structures (and/or import WP themes) in the official xlinesoft blog.

we are talking about manual import here. No automated import will be possible ever.

I am not able to change / modify theme (or Style) under Style Editor in Ver 6.0.

Am I missing something very basic?

I have been testing 6.0 and I think it is wonderful,

I think I found a bug, but not sure if it is my system or 6.0.
It seems everytime I change the style while building everything looks great in the program and all the correct files are in the build, but it never FPT the forders in the sytles over to the test site.
I have an easy fix for now and that is manual upload the files with filezilla.
I just wanted to let you know of the issue so it might be fixed for the final version.

Lotsa people are probably wondering if projects created in 5.3 can be upgraded to 6.0, when there has been customization of layouts, events, etc. Can we see a tutorial for upgrading a customized project from PHPR5.3 to PHPR6.0?

Maybe an example based on Vacation or a similar project, which has some customizations.

I can confirm that projects built with phpRunner 5.3 Enterprise will not run correctly under PHPR 6.x. I seem to lose all of my customizations that I've done. I'm not sure how this happened but I have lost the special custom formatting I did as well as events and some JavaScripts the SUPPORT/JANE/SERGEY were so kind to provide me. I'm thinking that there has to be something diffrent in the templates though I am not using and custom templates or layouts.
So at this point V6 looks very nice but, we are not going to be able to use it for anything built in V5.3?
I'm betting some smart programmer out there is busy making a convertion program right now...right? I would love to move ChildresDDS over to V6 using the mobile template.

Anyone who is having ny kind of issues building project created by previous versions - contact support directly.
There is no single "one size fits all" solution. We'll be to assist everyone and improve import procedure at the same time.

And when will serial numbers go out for those with support plans?

The Rome layout in the style editor page of build 8895 seems missing. It takes the default's settings instead.
