I have searched the forums and did not see any other mentions of a particular problem we have been running into lately using PHPRunner 5.3. Specifically, for the past couple years while using PHPRunner we had never attempted to implement the option to implement "Inline Edit numerous tagged items and then Save All" to rows on our HPRunner built web site. A current project forced us to begin using this PHPRunner feature (Inline Edit and then subsequently the Save All selection).
We observed recently that in most instances such as like editing and saving more than 5 rows at one time that both our Firefox or Internet Explorer browsers will hang meaning it appears it is saving all changes and closing out the Inline Edit boxes but instead we get the browser spinning hour glass symbol indefinitely.
At one point Firefox said that there was a jquery script that was hanging. Eventually, even if left alone for many minutes, the browser will crash and close or we have to force it to close and then log back into our website to see if the changes took effect.
When we look at our database it appears that many rows were updated with our requested changes but others were not.
I researched this general problem "java query script hang" on the Internet and it all falls back to the coding that PHPrunner may be using for the option to perform "Inline Edit and Save All".
Does anyone know what could be causing this problem specifically? This is driving both me and others who have begun to use this feature very crazy.
