I have a page where all of the data will be calculated on the fly but I don't want them saved to any table. I will have all of the data in varaibles. Using Visual Editor, is there a way to display varaibles defined in an event on the list page or do I need to change the template?

Thanks for your response but this is not what I am looking for. I have access to my data. Instead of displaying table fields on the list page, I am looking to display the results(in $variables) on the list page. I have found custom info on input field's but I don't anything showing up in visual editor.

This certainly does what I want. I saw this about 6 months ago(when I didn't need it) and for the life of me, I couldn't remember where I saw it. I do have a couple of questions for you or anyone else who may have used this feature.

  1. This feature is based on using a table field. What link/relation is there to the field I'm using? For my test, I put a character display in numerically defined field. It worked. Not that I would normally do that but I just want to know how it works.
  2. Nothing is being written. Do I need to define any security/permissions for this?
