email button as standard on list page

I found this article quite interesting

However considering its usefullness, I see this feature better implemented as standard (like enable email on the list page and may be even select the fields to be inicluded). This would be very useful to be able to enable the email button for every list page (may be on a field basis) very much like the print or export option.
It would be great if the email button would open up a pop up screen allowing the user to input his/her email address. Logged ini users get prompted with their email address and can overwrite this. The email button would only email the selected records and default to sending teh entire list page.

The options for sending emails could be:

-email web link (link to the list page including the selected filter criteria)

-email as html/plain text

-email as attachment (zipped csv file for example would be great)
We could take this feature further to provide a dedicated page that allows users to subscribe for certain records from a pre-selected table/list page and choose to get records sent by email on a regular basis (configurable interval).
