Converting from PHPRunner 5.1 to 5.2

I'm trying to convert my huge PHPRunner 5.1 project with about 1500 MySQL tables and views that generates about 9,000 scripts to PHPRunner 5.2. It was already having problems in 5.1; I had to restart each time I sync'd the tables and it didn't like going from Editor to Tables without restarting.
I have modified lots of the Visual Editor pages, and have a lot of Events along with a special Style in the Themes page. I also have the Calendar template integrated that I've modified by adding a few new fields. I have security on most tables, lots of labels, and the Enterprise version with web reports. I have only a few reports and charts built. I bought a new computer with Window 7 computer and installed PHPRunner in the C:\ directory instead of Program files as suggested in the forum. It is a new i7 processor, running in 64-bit mode, and 4GB memory. Has anyone had problems converting big projects before any hints? Thanks!

Hi,
I think that I had the same experience with you. I started a huge and critical project with version 5.1 and observed the same frustrating experience with database synchronization.
I decided not to proceed fearing of possible lost man hours work in the upgrading process.

I tried converting this project to 5.2 when it first came out and gave up, but with 5.3 around the corner, it's time to get this done. I like being on the latest version - although I do wait a while for the bugs to get out (thus the reason for finally upgrading to Windows 7 yesterday.) I have two small project in 5.2 and they work perfectly - just love it and I need my main project to get upgraded so I can be in one version.
I've opened up a support ticket and put both the 5.1 and 5.2 project up on my InspiRunner.com site, so hopefully they can tell me what I need to do to get it into 5.2. I plan to document the steps in this forum for others. So far,

  1. Installed PHPRunner 5.2 in C:\ - instead of C:\Program File (Windows 7 issue)
  2. When I tried to make my MySQL dump file for the support ticket I had some issues with not having a user @% - this seems to happen when I create views on my website instead of localhost, so I corrected that and got a good MySQL dump file. Now the project opens better in the Tables page and will save without bombing, but won't move to any other screen.
That's where I'm at so far, but keep checking back as I go through this process! Sandi

I just want to clarify one thing that seems to be confusing quite a few people.
Installing PHPRunner 5.2 to C: root directory instead of C:\Program files has absolutely no benefits and solves no issues.
