Set Feld size for edit mode ?

Hi
I have a record with many small (2 or 3 charterers)fields. When I view my list page the field length looks ok. When I do an inline edit the field length seems to double while in edit mode.
How could I make the field length look the same size as it dose when I view the list page?

Clark,
you can change field size on the edit/inline edit pages on the "Edit as" settings dialog on the Visual Editor tab.
