Hi guys - just a bit confused about the licence for the wysiwyg plugins you can download - namely the FCKeditor.
If I'm making projects for my clients (basically small admin logins to update text content areas) and I want to use the FCKeditor - do I need to licence it each time for each client i.e. $350 a licence <img src='https://asprunner.com/forums/file.php?topicimage=1&fieldname=question&id=13355&image=1&table=forumtopics' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> or does using it within my ASPRunner Pro projects cover the licence and therefore falls under the ASP licence I have??
Just worried - don't want to be breaking any copyrights etc using it in my projects.
Thanks if someone can clear this up

ASPRunnerPro does not cover FCKEditor license.
We added FCKEditor support when it was totally free software. Since then it has changed it's nae to CKEditor and added a paid version.
According to http://ckeditor.com/license you still can use CKEditor:

Integrating CKEditor in commercial software, taking care of satisfying the Open Source licenses terms, while not able or interested on supporting CKEditor and its development.

LGPL license allows you to use CKEditor in commercial software as long as end user has access to CKEditor source code. Since CKEditor is distributed as a source code you should be fine.
IANAL, so you may want to talk to someone in this regard to be 100% sure.

lol - I think I'm more confused now than I was before!
The version I have downloaded in the past is the FCKEditor version - haven't downloaded or used the CKeditor version
I will review the terms in the one I have but its not very clear at all - I've just used it the once in a little backend app to allow the client to update a memo field through my ASPrunner files I had created to allow changes to a db table. Not much to it.
But it may be something you'd need to clarify for future releases of ASPRunner - i.e. can the plugins yuo link to be used in ASPRunner projects freely or is another licence needed for each instance.
Thanks guys

We cannot guarantee FCKEditor/CKEditor won't change their license next month. We just provide support for those plugins.
If you plan to use CKEditor you need to study their current license and contact lawyer if required.
