I use a date picker for a date field and it orders my dates starting at 1909, is there a way to change it to descending? also is it possible to just show a range of years like 2000 to 2010

I recommend you to edit generated calendar.html file manually.

This one looks like something that could be addressed in future, but I have removed drop downs and just use the "simple edit with datepicker option" which assumes today and is friendly enough for my users.
