I've figured out the the problem with doing a simple search using the "Any field" option is browser related. The problem occurs when using Internet Explorer v8. There is no problem when using Internet Explorer v7 or with Firefox or Opera. The previous version of my application was built using using PHPRunner v3.1. I tested it with IE v8 and there was no problem so it looks like some change between PHPRunner v3.1 and v5.1 may be causing the problem with IE v8. I've temporarily removed the "Any field" option from the search menu but would like to be able to put it back. Thanks in advance any help.

Hi Jane. I must be going crazy. As I mentioned in my posting, I had removed the "Any field" option (using the visual editor) as a temporary "fix". In order to upload a version that I was having the problem with to your demo server, I reset the page so that the "Any field" option was added back and uploaded it not only to the demo server, but to my "live" server (in a temporary folder). When I browsed to the application in the temporary folder on the live server there was NO problem with the search using "Any field". You probably hear this all the time but I really don't understand what has happened. What was happening before was that searching using "Any field" would not work on either of two PC's I have (both using IE v8). It DID work on two other PC's that I have that use IE v7. The "Any field" option also worked with Firefox and Opera. The problem was also reported by one of my web site users. In all cases, doing a search using any other option besides "Any field" was not a problem. Someone had responded on the forum that it might be a browser cache problem. If this so, it was only showing for IE8. In any case, I'm now reluctant to post the application with the "Any field" option reactivated. Most of web site users are not computer-savvy and would not understand having to possibly clear their browser cache for the application to work probably. I have uploaded the files to the demo server. I have not opened a ticket.
