Hi all,
I'm new to online database building, and new to ASPRunner which I'm finding to be a very helpful tool.
I'm just trying to get my head around building a simple user registration database whereby people interested in joining a mailing list can enter information like name, address, email, etc - much like the registration process for this board actually. I don't need or want people to have to log-in to add their details, and I understand that I can disable the login page, but does that then mean there is no security on the database? Can anyone then get access to the information of other members?
The only person with access to the database sould be the client - so is this the right tool for the job?
I've searched through the forums, tutorials, etc and cannot find any examples of this kind of simple setup, so any clues would be appreciated.
Cheers,

Basically, You can either use the security included in ASPRunner (aka the login page) or set security permissions on the web page itself or the database. But if it is a public site on the web, i would suggest some sort of login some where and use those credentials throughout the website including the ASPRunner portion.

Also, if your not worried who see's the info or adds new info you can allow only insert permission to everyone and deny update permission, on the database side.
