'Add New' problems in 5.0

In PHPRUNNER 5.0 'add new' (option for look-up input field) brings up an entire "_add.php" page, and causes all sorts of problems for me. Is there any way to make the behavior revert to the 4.1 style, which just gives a simple pop-up dialog to create a new item?
Thanks,

Chris

Hi,
you can remove all unnecessary fields on the add page on the Choose fields tab. Then you can remove header/footer on the Visual Editortab if needed.

I need the relevant fields in the normal 'Add New' page but not in the pop-up page - and I didn't see any differentiation for the "Submenu" (I believe its called) version of the add page. Is that right? And what about the events? Normally after updating the db I have the page return to the list page. This is a problem in the SubMenu instance. And what about the Submenu Add New not updating the look-up field? The 4.1 version used to do this, but the 5.0 does not it seems.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Without some way of fixing this I will have to turn off 'add new' in look-ups, which is a shame.
Unless I'm missing something - very likely the case - I would suggest that 'add new' in look-up fields is broken in 5.0 as it does not deliver the necessary effect of allowing you to select a freshly created new instance of whatever it is you're after.
Thanks again.

Chris

Hi Jane,
I think I can shed some light on the problem: all this is happening because the particular 'add new' page in question has been modified and is still in the 4.1 'style' (or whatever you call it). I just tried 'Reset this page' and rebuilding, and everything (refreshing, no header issues, pop-up working neatly) works fine.
All is right with the world, once more, except that I now have to consider what to do about the page modifications that I've lost.
