Quality of thumbnails and images (method)

I think your product must search a better system to create thumnails because its quality is poor and pixelate. I've try changing imagecopyresized to imagecopyresampled. It is better but still I think is not enough.
There must be an option to select method, like in Textarea fields, or allow to insert code to an alternative method.
What do you think?
