Feature Wishlist: Workflow

I am not sure where to log new feature requests but here's one that I would love to see implemented in PHPR to make it even more sexy <img src='https://asprunner.com/forums/file.php?topicimage=1&fieldname=question&id=10631&image=1&table=forumtopics' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Is it possible to include basic workflow to manage the transition between pages and link this to access groups?

So instead of using custom events, use a database table that allows to query the workflow and page transitions for each user group. Ideally somewhere an indication of the data passed between pages as well.

May be this could be a separate module with some fancy workflow features that can be sold separately for whoever is interested.
