In asprunner 5.2, you could change the table captions when you select the table and choose to add to menu.
I can't find where to change the caption in v6. I read Wanda's post, but that only changes the caption on the main menu screen. In the actual asp code generated, the actual table name is used.
For example: I have several system type tables (used for lookups and such) for my app. I prefex them all with sys_ like so: sys_OS_Version. I don't want the app to display "sys OS Version" on the menu tabs. I want it to display say "OS Version"
I hope this is clear.

I'm with pcdoctor. I finally remembered how to change the caption, but that was only for the menu. Like you, I can't find where to change the caption so that in the list page or tabbed menu page the caption can be changed.
It was easy in v5.
If anyone has the answer please, I'd like to know.

After about an hour of mucking about, I found it Wanda.
Goto the Miscellaneous page. There you will see a button that says "Label Editor".
You can change any/all labels there.
Boy I wish the docs would be more informative and complete!

Thanks pcdoctor, I would probably never have thought of that.
Sometimes it takes so long to get an answer from here. For the most part, everyone is great and helpful, but like you I wish the documents would be more complete. I think that would certainly cut down on these types of questions.
I checked the help file and there is nothing at all in the miscellaneous help section for this feature. If one is used to 5.x then it could be a little frustrating.

make sure you use final version of ASPRunnerPro 6.0 that does have complete manual.

I've downloaded the PDF manual in the past. Also, I just downloaded what I would assume to be the latest version from the web site.
In the PDF, pages 82-83 of 282 contain the only discussions regarding Miscellaneous settings. These discussions on that page are as follows:

  1. Language settings,
  2. Regional settings,
  3. Table specific,
  4. Roll over Highlighting,
  5. Truncate Large text fields.
    Then it goes into choosing themes.
    I can't find anything about Label Editor anywhere in either document, unless I missed it.
    So I make that comment based soley on the contents of PDF manual and I just downloaded the latest from the site. One would think this to be the latest as well.
    Not too worry though, I just felt complete documentation would be of great use.
