i'm not sure if this exact question has been asked before. but could i make an advanced search page where one of the text boxes (and i would only need the one) for each was a drop down menu (whose options i would insert)? similar to the drop-down menu that has the "Contains", "Equals", etc options. in essence, i would want the "Contains", "Equals", etc menu to always be "Equals"; because the user would select the exact option he wanted.

Hi,
you need to set Edit as option on the Formatting tab as Lookup wizard.

So on the Advanced Search page you'll get for this field only Equalsoption and drop-down list of values.
