Blobs not working

When I store a MS Word document (or any other type of document), I can store this as a blob in the MySQL database. Afterwards when I click on it, I can save it to my desktop and open it wihtout errors.
When I click on the icon and then try to open it, I receive this error....
It will attempt to open the MS Word program, then I get this in a dialog box:
"This file could not be found. Try one or more of the following: check the spelling, try a different file name".
What do you suppose the problem is?

Thank you for pointing me to this problem.

Please try the update fixing this and some another issues

I realized that my windows/temp directory was hidden. Once I made it visible, I was able to open the blod with no problems.
(WIndowsXP installs with c:\windows\system where you cannot see the files)
